This is the Requests page in Talis DC. On this page are several filters and columns that allow administrators to review information about a Course Reserve request and filter all requests made in bulk.
Filters
The top of the Requests page includes a filters bar:
The filters available are defined below:
Statuses: This filter allows administrators to sort results based on 5 stages a Course Reserve may be in. The five filterable statuses are "Expired", "Live", "Referred", "Rejected", and "Withdrawn". For more information on Course Reserve Statuses, please visit this support article.
Reasons: This filter allows administrators to sort results based on the Reason an administrator has given for why a Course Reserve request is in a specific Status. These Reasons are as follows: "Expired", "Fulfilled", "Referred", "Copy pending", "Invalid request", "Rejected by Administrator", "Withdrawn by academic", and "Withdrawn by administrator". For more information on assigning Reasons as an administrator to a Course Reserve, please visit this support article.
Users: This filter allows administrators to sort results based on the administrator or "User" a Course Reserve request has been assigned to in Talis DC. The administrator can also sort by "Currently unassigned" requests to view which ones have not yet been claimed or given to another administrator.
Start Date: This filter allows administrators to 5 different time frames: "Starting anytime", "Already started", "Starting within 7 days", "Starting within 14 days", and "Starting within 30 days". These time frames find requests based on the Start Date set by the requesting user.
Search by: The "search by" bar allows administrators to use keywords to find specific information attached to a course reserve request or requests. Any information visible on the Requests page is searchable using this field.
Request Data Columns
Underneath the filters bar, administrators can find all current Course Reserve requests made by users in Courseflow and data about them:
The columns are defined below.
#: The # column allows administrators to see what number is attached to a Course Reserve request. This number identifies the specific request without needing additional information, like the resource title or requester name. It is a searchable field and can be used when speaking to a Talis support agent to identify the request.
Status: This column allows administrators to see which stages a Course Reserve is currently in. Please see this article for more details on Status types and their definitions.
Course: This column allows administrators to see which course in Talis Courseflow the Course Reserve request is attached to. Course structure is dependent on the hierarchy you have set up in your Talis Courseflow instance.
Start date: This column allows administrators to see when the Course Reserve request is needed by, set by the requester.
Resource: This column allows administrators to see two pieces of metadata - the resource type (like Book) and the title of the requested resource.
Requester: This column allows administrators to see who the initial requester of the Course Reserve is.
Assigned: This column allows administrators to see which administrator the Course Reserve request is assigned to (or whether it remains unassigned).
Actions: The Actions drop down menu includes two buttons.
- View details: This button takes administrators to the Course Reserve request page for an individual resource. To read more about this page, please visit this support article.
- Assign: This button allows administrators to assign a Course Reserve request to a specific administrator in Talis DC.
